Ed Sheeran: The A Team
Ed Sheeran’s The A Team is on high rotation in the house this last week or so.
The lyrics are haunting and shocking compared to the singing style. It’s an upbeat song with a dark, dark lyric. I love the cognitive dissonance.
The lyrics for sing-a-long
White lips, pale face
Breathing in snowflakes
Burnt lungs, sour taste
Light’s gone, day’s end
Struggling to pay rent
Long nights, strange menAnd they say
She’s in the Class A Team
Stuck in her daydream
Been this way since 18
But lately her face seems
Slowly sinking, wasting
Crumbling like pastries
And they scream
The worst things in life come free to us
Cos we’re just under the upperhand
And go mad for a couple of grams
And she don’t want to go outside tonight
And in a pipe she flies to the Motherland
Or sells love to another man
It’s too cold outside
For angels to fly
Angels to fly

Example: Changed The Way You Kiss Me
I’m late to this party as the song was #1 in the UK, but I’m loving the first single Changed The Way You Kiss Me from Example
According to an interview on the Graham Norton Show, he’s called Example because his initals are E.G. and it’s from when he was 12 years old.
Lyrics for sing along
I’ve never been afraid of the highest heights
Or afraid of flying now
I’ve never been afraid of the wildest fights
Not afraid of dying
But now I want off this ride cuz your scaring me and I don’t like where were going
I need a new fun fair cuz your scaring me and I don’t like where were going

Flight Facilities – Crave You
Thanks to FBi Radio 94.5FM Sydney music, arts + culture I’ve been turned on to Flight Facilities first POP single, Crave You. Incidently the lyrics and vocals are by Australian, Giselle Roselli
Here are the lyrics to sing along.
Why can’t you want me like the other boys do?
They stare at me while I stare at you
Why can’t I keep you safe as my own?
One moment I have you the next you are gone
Rehearsed steps on an empty stage
That boy’s got my heart in a silver cage
Why can’t you want me like the other boys do?
They stare at me while I crave you
Last.FM widget test
I’m experimenting with what this blog means to me. You can’t see it, but the tag line is Technology, Travel, eBay, Airline seating, Social Networking — a life online, but I sometimes struggle to differentiate it from my other blogs, forums and online writing. This is the closest to my personal blog i.e. no topic in particular, which is generally a bad idea as people aren’t sure why they should come back.
Anyway I’ll be ruminating on those esoteric topics that engage my interest from time to time.
In the meantime I’ve finally decided to give Last.FM a chance and have installed the widget in the sidebar. Here it is below for now as well.

Dan Finnerty & the Dan Band
I saw a performance by The Dan Band on MTV last night. I was laughing so hard I had to stop workinging on the Ziggy’s Online Games website, go upstairs and grab my wife and show her.
This is one of the hottest live shows in Hollywood right now, and I can see why. The Dan Band is a all male threesome that sings diva anthems. Grrl power! It’s funny and inspired lunacy. I want to see this show live. The performance songs include “Ring My Bell” by Anita Ward, “Nasty” by Janet Jackson, “Slave 4 U” by Britney Spears and “Hold On” by Wilson Phillips.
The show was produced by Dreamworks for Bravo. There’s a CD available on amazon.
iTunes opens in Australia
Hooray at last.
The iTunes Australian store has opened after years of wrangling and negotiating.
It seems the last holdout distributor in the Australian market finally joined the 21st century.
